I searched the net for months trying to find this information,
and finally found it in a newsgroup.  I have simply created
a page that is easily found by Search Engines, copied and
pasted the original article into the HTML code, and I also
drew the schematic so that it can be viewed as a GIF (previously
it was only the ASCII drawing contained in the text.

If you have any additional information about this hack,
please let me know.  Topics of interests:  Transformer ratings,
which side of transformer the phone line hooks to (and which
to the pots/phone connections).  Is there a better circuit
to perform this hack?
